On May 28th, 2024, Hanoi University of natural Resources and Environment coordinated with the Department of Climate change – Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Youth Union of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and French Development Agency to organize symposium “Towards a sustainable future: Adaptation strategies in Vietnam”. The seminar addressed a number of key issues in developing scientific and technological research to respond to climate change in the current context.
On October 5th, Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment successfully organized the international conference “Towards Net Zero Emissions: Policy and Practice”.
On August 31st, 2022, Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment in collaboration with the Netherlands of Universities Foundation for International Cooperation – NUFFIC organized the international conference “Technology in Natural disaster prevention and Risk reduction”
May 2022 - The final training week of the OKP TMT+ “Tailor-made capacity building on river morphology and flood risk using state-of-the-art open satellite data and processing tools” took place at Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment from 16-20 May, 2022
On the 9th and 10th of January 2020, Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment (HUNRE) organized the first International Workshop on Natural Resources and Risk Management in the context of Climate Change (NARERISKMA 1) under the support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (NAFOSTED). The workshop was attended by 151 experts, scientists and guests from Ibaraki University, Japan; Yonsei University, South Korea; Phuket Rajabhat University, Thailand; Bogor Agricultural University, Indonesia; University of the Philippines.
On 31st October, Asia-Pacific regional workshop on the reduction of mercury emission from coal combustion was held at Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment (HUNRE) from 31/10 to 01/11/2019 - this is a sideline conference of the “14th Multi-pollutant Emissions from Coal workshop, MEC 14". Attending the workshop, there are national and international experts, HUNRE staffs, lecturers and students.
On 4th June, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) in collaboration with Italian Embassy to Vietnam organized a seminar to share experiences of Italy on the development and implementation of climate change policy in the cooperation between MONRE and Ministry of Environment, Land and Sea of Italy. Attending and leading the delegation of Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment (HUNRE) was Assoc. Prof. Dr. PHAM Quy Nhan.
