With the purpose of improving the training quality for students, creating opportunities for staffs, lecturers to improve their research capacity, enhance their relationships with foreign professors; Research Institute for Resources and Climate Change (HUNRE) hosted the seminar namely “Mountain Research: Sustainable Livelihoods, Natural Resource Use and Climate Change Adaptation” on 18th May, 2018 at Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment (HUNRE).

In the DOW leadership in Action Program (LIA), 2017, HUNRE cooperated with PYXERA - Global to boost citizen science mode in water resources monitoring in the Nhue river established since 2015 under the framework of MK27 project. “Inclusive development paths for healthy Red River landscapes based on ecosystem services” that we received a lot of supports from TUDelft and UNESCO-IHE.
Under the cooperation program between Ha Noi University of Natural Resources and Environment (HUNRE) and Yonsei University, Korea; the program has implemented from 2014 to 2017 and has achieved positive results; has brought accomplishment for HUNRE in general, has enhanced research capacity and training competence of Climate Change and Sustainable Development Department in particular
On September 6th, 2017, Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment (HUNRE) held an academic exchange with Assoc.Prof.Dr Jenna Jambeck - Director of Center for Circular Materials Management, University of Georgia, USA with the aim of exchanging academic experience in many fields on training and international cooperation at HUNRE.
On August 07, 2017. Executive director of the United Nation Environment Programme Mr. Erik Solheim had a meeting session with Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment (HUNRE) staffs and students. He was invited by Minister Tran Hong Ha, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. They exchanged information about conservation, wildlife trade, marine waste, coastal zone management and forest conservation issues.
On 22nd of February 2016, Prince of Songkla University, Thailand visited and worked with Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment (HUNRE). The delegation of Thailand Prince of Songkla University (PSU) interviewed applicants for Master's and Doctoral scholarship from the Faculty of Technology and Environment, PSU.
