The meeting between the Cultural Counselor from the Embassy of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic in Vietnam and Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environmenr
Attending the meeting, on the side of the Lao Embassy, there was Dr. Khamtan Somvong – the Cultural Counselor from the Embassy of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic in Vietnam and relevant officials. On the side of Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment (HUNRE), there was the participation of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Thi Trinh – Vice-Rector, MSc. Vu Thi Thuy Ngan – Vice Head of Science Technology and International Relations Department, Dr. Bui Thu Phuong – Vice Head of Academic Affairs, Dr. Hoang Dinh Huong – Associate Dean of the Faculty of Environmental and Natural Resources Economic, MSc. Nguyen Khac Thanh – Associate Dean of the Faculty of Environment; Dr. Bui Thi Tham – Dean of the Faculty of Surveying, Mapping and Geographic Information; Dr. Nguyen Binh Phong – The representatives of the Faculty of Hydrology – Meteorology.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Khamtan Somvong welcomed the representatives of Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment. He also affirmed that the field of environment and resources is not only a global problem but is also a common problem in Laos and Vietnam. Promoting education and training to provide high-quality human resources for careers related to environment, resources, and hydrometeorology is essential in building strong friendship bonds between Laos and Vietnam.
At the meeting, on behalf of Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Thi Trinh sent health blessings to Dr. Khamtan Somvong and briefly introduced HUNRE. She affirmed that HUNRE would create the best conditions to support Lao students' studies. In addition, HUNRE also monitors and exchanges the study situation of international students with their families.
The meeting was happy, friendly, and open, with many opinions about training, development cooperation, science, and technology. At the end of the beginning, on behalf of HUNRE, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Thi Trinh gave souvenirs to Dr. Khamtan Somvong and relevant officials of the Lao Embassy in Vietnam and, at the same time, wished the friendship between Vietnam and Lao always to be strong and sustainable.
