Vietnam - Australia Sustainable Minning Development Workshop, held on 29^th and 30^th June 2015 in Hanoi, has attracted approximately 500 participants from throughout Vietnam and Australia on a number sides of the government, mining industries and universities.

            The event focused on discussion, exchange and sharing of managing experience and cooperation in sustainable mineral development. The key message of the event was that exploiting natural resources safely and ensuring environmental protection and community benefits play a vital role to build a sustainable mining development strategy.

 
The young professionals of Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment have engaged in interactive dialogues on pressing mining issues at the Event.

            As the representatives of Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment, the lecturers from the faculties of Geology, Environment, and Environmental and Natural Resources Economics, have engaged in interactive dialogues on pressing mining issues at the Event. The friendly and deep discussions between the lecturers and the international experts have partly contributed to find out the inovative approaches to Vietnam’s sustainable mining development.

 
A memorable moment with the Distinguished Speakers, the Representatives of Australian Embassy, Professors and Doctors of Universities of Queensland and New South Wales, and Australian Mining Enterprises in Vietnam.

            We would like to express our special thanks to HUNRE and The Organizing Board for giving us such the valuable opportunity to attend Vietnam – Australia Sustainable Minning Development Workshop 2015 to learn and share. We hope that this great event will be held anually for the following years ahead.
