On June 1^st, 2016, Mr. Shigeru Kotaniguchi - Chairman and CEO of Swato INC, Japan visited and worked with the university.

Assoc, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh - President introduced about HUNRE

At the reception, both sides were introduced the Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment (HUNRE) and Swato INC, Japan. They exchanged information and discussed the possibilities of cooperation. During the introduction they were introduced to water experts as well as lectures. They discussed about provision of textbooks, books on water resources; transferred technology and equipment. They talked about how to work together on dealing with pure water from groundwater, first of all to provide for staff, faculty and students of use.

Swato INC, Japan was established in 1985. This company has a proprietary technology for the purification and water treatment service of production and daily life reputable and popular in Japan and around world.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides hope to have a closer relationship in the future. Shigeru Kotaniguchi thanked HUNRE about the enthusiastic reception. He expressed his desire to cooperate on water treatment and capacity building for the Water Resources Faculty next period.
