On 16 of November 2017, the workshop "Green campus - Towards environmental protection and sustainable development" was organized at Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment (HUNRE). The workshop was attracted many participants, including researchers,  scientists and students  in Vietnam and other countries, especially Professor. Tae Yoon Park from Yonsei University, South Korea also had shared the research and knowledge on Green Campus of South Korea Universities.

Associate Professor Dr. PHAM Quy Nhan - Vice President delivered opening speech

With the aim to share the scientific research and practical knowledge that related to green campus, green development and green growth, there were more than 120 participants, including scientists, researchers, lecturers and students in the workshop. There were 07 presentations which were demonstrated in this event and their focus topic were green campus. Climate change has impacted to human beings, socio - economy, environmental security and national security but it also impacts to eco - system and natural resources.

The development of Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment is along with the growth of natural resources and environment sector in general, and national protection and creation in particular. In the coming time, HUNRE intends to build Green HUNRE - Environmental friendly HUNRE with the green criteria; the content of sustainable development has been integrated into training programs and become an essential part for HUNRE students.

At the workshop, the scientists have shared and discussed results of research, and clarify the issues during doing research with  the aim to identify the orientations for training and doing research to meet the social demand in context of climate change. The use of natural resources and environment suitably and flexibly has become a key element in sustainable development. Sustainable development, green growth, green development has a main orientation in human beings’ mind, decision, and action in terms of development in Vietnam and other countries.
