With the main target to develop the co-operation among network of technical universities in scientific research and technology transfer activities, the effective application of scientific research results into production for provinces in Vietnam, Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) has decided to establish the Science - Technology Club of Technical Universities since 1992. Over 23 years of establishment and development, there are currently 23 members, including universities and institutes in Vietnam. The Club activities have contributed on the sustainable development of the country.

The 46^th Conference on Science and Technology Club of Technical Universities was held by Sao Do University (Chi Linh Commune, Hai Duong Province) on March 14^th 2015 with the name: “ The sustainable development of technical universities in Hai Duong province”

HUNRE has took part in the Conference as an Observer in the Club. On behalf of HUNRE, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Quy Nhan gave a presentation about the Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment. HUNRE has admitted as an official member of the Club by 100 percent.

The Conference gathered 40 specialized scientific reports from all the Universities and Observers in the Club with to the main areas as: Agriculture - Forestry; Information Technology; Environmental Protection; Travel Services - Villages; Transportation network. In which, Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment has two articles that published in the proceedings of the Conference as: "Research environmental character and building matric raising extensive Nereidae in Thai Binh and Kinh Thay River Basins” by Msc. Pham Van Chung - Geology Faculty; “Potential and proposed oriented exploitation of underground water resources in Hai Duong province” by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Quy Nhan, Msc. Tran Thanh Le - Faculty of Water Resources. These articles have appreciated by the Experts. All of the topics associated with productions that suitable with the economy of Hai Duong province.

Mr Ta Duc Thinh - Head of Science Technology and Environment Department (MOET) has praised the contribution about science and technology of the Club for the development of provinces in Vietnam. The members in the Club aware of achieved values from conference and will develop the co-operation among network of technical universities in the next years in scientific research and technological development activities as well as exploit the potential of the technical universities in applied research and technology transfer activities for sustainable development of the country.
