On 4^th June, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) in collaboration with Italian Embassy to Vietnam organized a seminar to share experiences of Italy on the development and implementation of climate change policy in the cooperation between MONRE and Ministry of Environment, Land and Sea of ​​Italy. Attending and leading the delegation of Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment (HUNRE) was Assoc. Prof. Dr. PHAM Quy Nhan.

Speaking at the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. PHAM Quy Nhan-HUNRE Vice President- stressed on the importance of the cooperation between MONRE and Ministry of Environment, Land and Sea of ​​Italy in the coming time on climate change, risk management and climate change adaptation. Vietnam is one of the countries that are heavily impacted by climate change; thus climate change adaptation effectively is contributing to the overall development of the country. Vietnam is always given priority to strengthen cooperation with international partners, including Italy in response to climate change. The seminar is an opportunity for administrators, scientists, lecturers and students to exchange information and learn experiences from the Italian.

Mr. Francesco La Camera - Director General for Sustainable Development, Energy and Climate (Ministry of Environment, Land and Sea of ​​Italy) shared Italian experiences in developing and implementing the climate change policy. Many experiences are shared in the seminar focused on real situations of the climate change impact, study and research opportunities in Italy, etc. Thus, they help managers, scientists propose options and contents of cooperation in the Memorandum of Understanding to be signed between Vietnam and Italy.
