Hanoi University of Natural Resource and Environment organize activities to Celebrate World Water Day on March 22nd
World Water Day is held annually on March 22nd to call the attention of the community on the importance of mining, rational use and sustainable management of water resources. Responding to the World Water Day 2015, the Ministry of Natural Resource and Environment organized practical activities such as photo exhibition "Water and Sustainable Development", Scientific Conference "Water and Sustainable Development" program artistic exchange and a rally national "Water and Sustainable Development" in Bac Giang city from 16th to 23rd, 2015.
The problem of using, protection and sustainable management water resources has become an urgent global scale today. Water resources in the basin are being overexploited before the pressures of economic development and social, before the impact of the increase of population, climate change, and global level...pollution, deterioration of water quality, scarcity and depletion of water resources has a strong impact on the quality of the environment, security and peace in many countries around the world. Predictions 2025 will be about 2/3 of the world population will have difficulty in water resources. Therefore, with the theme "Water is the core of sustainable development", World Water Day 2015 called the attention of the community, the agency's management of the relationship between water resources and sustainable development.
In harmony with the activities of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment also organizes celebrations, propaganda World Water Day as send the article "Orientation sustainable exploitation of underground water resources to serve socio-economic development area in Hanoi "(author's Dr.Pham Quy Nhan) participated in a seminar on" Water and Sustainable Development "in Bac Giang, development program "Million signatures hands protecting water resources for sustainable development", organized activities on "Water and Sustainable Development" for students, hanging banners and posters on World Water Day organizations Football League for students (in conjunction with Union of Geological, Sciences Seas and Islands).
