1.      INTRODUCTION

Faculty of Land Administration was established in June 2005 together with the establishment of Hanoi College of Natural Resources & Environment which is established by merging the College of Meteorology - Hydrology and Central High School of Cadastre No.1. The original basis of Faculty of Land Administration is Land Administration Team which established in May 1998, with the main functions are training and developing high level quality human resources for Land Administration sector for the whole country.

The faculty of Land Administration has developed lecturers team, who has always improved knowledge quality frequently in order to catch up with social development trends. Faculty of Land Administration now has lecturers team who has highly qualified, and strong professional knowledge, as well as teaching, research experiences to perform successfully research and training responsibilities of a newly established university.

2.      FUNCTIONS AND MISSIONS 

a.      Functions

Implementation the strategic goals of Ministry of Natural Resources & Environment for land administration sector.

Develop human resources for land administration sector at the level of Diploma, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate.

Research and develop science-technology advantages in land administration field.

b.      Missions

Develop completed training programs for all levels, including

(1)  Diploma

(2)  Undergraduate, and Postgraduate

(3)  Associate secondary-college

(4)  Associate college-university

Conduct and manage all training activities of land administration at regular level basis and work-learn level basis in university campus, and associated institutions in local levels.  

Transfer sciences-technology advantages of land administration field to other stakeholders.

Perform theoretical and practical researches of land administration field in term of land finance; Land resource assessment; Land planning; Land information; Land administration procedures and policies.

(1)  Department of Soil Science

Department of soil science consists of 15 lecturers including 3 lecturers who has Doctor Degree level.

Department of soil in charge of 11 subjects: ecology and landscape basis; Feng shui and environmental landscape; Land environment; Soil science basis; Soil science; Soil chemistry application; Land assessment; Overall planning for socio-economic development; Land use planning; Planning for agricultural and agricultural development;  Urban planning and rural population planning.

(2)  Department of House and Land Administration

Department of house and land administration consists of 15 lecturers including 1 lecturer who has Doctor Degree level.

Department of house and land administration in charge of 10 subjects, including: Land allocation and Land compensation; Land registration; Land statistic; Land finance; Land evaluation; State management on land; Real estate market; Land inspectorate; Construction management; Construction project development.

(3)  Department of Land Cadastre

Department of house and land administration consists of 11 lecturers.

Department of land cadastre in charge of 9 subjects, including: cadastral basis; basic for remote sensing; land information system (LIS); geographical information system (GIS); applied computing in mapping; applied computing in land registration and statistic; applied computing in architectural design; special english; mapping.
