General Information
I. Introduction
Faculty of Environment, Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment was established in 2001 with the main functions are training and developing high level quality human resources for Environmental Technology and Natural Resources and Environmental Management; Scientific research, Technology transfer.
* Environmental Engineering Technology sector has 02 majors:
- Environmental Technology
- Techniques of environmental pollution control
* Natural Resources and Environment Management, with 02 majors are expected:
- Environmental Management
- Management of Natural Resources and Eco-tourism
* In addition, the Environment Faculty also participated in the short-term training courses and services:
- Monitoring and Analysis Environment
- Laboratory Management
- Environmental Impact Assessment
- Pollution control
- Disseminate knowledge of environmental protection legislation
- Conservation of biodiversity
II. Organizational structure

Environment Faculty currently has 40 staff and lecturers with 09 Doctors, 11 Doctoral researchers, 15 Masters and Visiting lecturers, Experts from Universities, National Research Institutes and Vietnam Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
Under the support of the Vietnam Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment. Faculty of Environment has developed the laboratory system advanced modern wastewater treatment, waste gas, solid waste; Assess the quality of water, air and land; Toxicological analysis; Microbiology laboratory has the ability to meet the needs teaching, learning and scientific research.
Some typical devices in the laboratories:
- The pilot model of waste treatment technologies;
- The sampling equipments;
- Organic and Inorganic sample processing systems;
- The modern equipment analysis: Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS), determination of the Total of Carbon (TOC), High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography - Mass Spectrometry (GC / MS), Chromatography Ion, ....
- Digital Microscope.
