Executive director of the United Nation Environment Programme Mr. Erik Solheim visited Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment
On August 07, 2017. Executive director of the United Nation Environment Programme Mr. Erik Solheim had a meeting session with Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment (HUNRE) staffs and students. He was invited by Minister Tran Hong Ha, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. They exchanged information about conservation, wildlife trade, marine waste, coastal zone management and forest conservation issues.

In a good and open atmosphere Assoc.Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh - HUNRE President thanked the deep concern of Mr. Erik Solheim - Executive Director of the United Nation Environment Programme (UNEP); International Cooperation Department, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment; the media agencies. Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment (HUNRE) is directed by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. They will become the key national university in training high qualified human resource in the field of natural resources.

Mr. Erik Solheim had his speech about the conservation and wildlife trade, marine waste and coastal zone management and forest conservation issues. One part of the meeting was a live Q&A session with students. The exchanged issues such as environmental protection, marine waste and coastal zone management and forest conservation. He exchanged content by many student questions about the urgency of the issues. He highlighted the importance to use the English language and shown great aspirations, desires and aspirations of the young generation in Vietnam, but especially students of the Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment in trend of integration and development.
